Scrapperettes defeat Lady Leopards 9-1

The Scrapperette softball team improved to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play with. 9-1 win over the Lady Leopards of Malvern.

Maci McJunkins got the win for the Scrapperettes. She gave up 1 run in 7 innings of work while striking out 11 Lady Leopards.

Emily Bailey had a big day at the plate. She had a home run and a RBI single.

Head coach Boomer Brown said the Scrapperettes are hitting the ball hard.

Brown announced the Scrapperettes have added a game with the defending 5A state champs, the Benton Lady Panthers, tonight at 6:30 pm at Lady Reddie Yard in Arkadelphia.

In junior varsity action, the Murfreesboro Lady Rattlers defeated the Scrapperette JV team by the score of 5-4 in extra innings.
