Scrapperettes Defeat Vilonia Lady Eagles in Non-Conference Matchup
The Nashville Scrapperettes earned a hard-fought victory on Friday night, defeating the Vilonia Lady Eagles 60-48 in a non-conference matchup at Scrapper Arena.
The game started off with a tight battle as the Scrapperettes held a slim 13-12 lead after the first quarter. But they found their rhythm in the second quarter, extending their advantage to 29-25 at halftime.
Nashville continued to build on their momentum in the third quarter, increasing their lead to 12 points at 50-38. The Scrapperettes showcased strong defense down the stretch, holding off any potential Vilonia comeback and maintaining their lead through the final buzzer.
The victory brings the Scrapperettes’ overall record to 18-6, and they remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0.
The top scorers for the Scrapperettes were junior Angel Watson with 21 points, sophomore Ava Basiliere with 16 points, and Caroline Dean with 14 points.
Nashville’s balanced team effort on both ends of the floor was key in securing the win, as they controlled the game with timely scoring and strong defensive stops.
