Scrapperettes play for state championship this afternoon

Nashville and Valley View meet in the 4A State Softball championship game this afternoon in Benton.  Nashville is led by a squad of 7 seniors. 

Coach Brian “Boomer” Brown says the group has been named “The Magnificent Seven”

When looking at Valley View, Brown says the pitcher is one of the better ones Nashville has faced this year.  At the plate, Valley View is led by their catcher and shortstop:

Before Nashville takes the field today, Coach Brown will have one last pre-game message for his squad…and he expects it to be an emotional time:

This week, the Scrappereettes traveled to Henderson State’s field to practice on a turf field.  The squad also spent some time zip lining and doing other fun activities.

Today’s championship game is scheduled to begin at 4 o’clock.  B99.5 will have the live radio broadcast.
