Scrapperettes win first golf tournament of season

The Scrapper and Scrapperette golf teams opened their season Monday.

Coach Aaron Worthen reported the Scrapperettes won and the Scrappers finished third with six of the eight golfers playing in their first high school tournament.

Nancy Worthington was the medalist for the Scrapperettes. Worthington led with a round of 91. Sophie Kuykendall came in second overall. Parker Tate was fourth and Macy McCammack was fifth.

On the boys side, Manning Goff led the way for the Scrappers with a round of 92. His score was good enough for fourth place overall. Aiden Smith was 10^th, Slade Slayton finished in 13^th place, while Zeus Hutchison finished 15^th.
