Scrapperettes win regional tournament title
The Nashville Scrapperettes scored five runs in the 4A South Region Softball championship game Monday evening and ended a 7th inning rally attempt by Bauxite, to claim the title, 5 to 3. Following the victory, Coach Brian “Boomer” Brown said he was proud for his seniors:
Earlier in the day, Nashville defeated Malvern to reach the finals. The 4A State Tournament begins Thursday morning at the Nashville City Park. The Scrapperettes have a first round bye and won’t play until Friday afternoon at 12:30. They face the winner of Thursday’s game between Jonesboro Westside and Morrilton.
Tickets for the state tournaments in Nashville must be purchased online. Fans will also be able to scan a QR code with their phone at the city park ball field.
