Scrappers add Charleston to football schedule; Genoa Central to play 8-man football
Some changes have been made to the 2022 Nashville Scrappers football schedule. With the recent announcement from incoming 7-4A Conference member Genoa Central that they would be playing eight man football this fall, a second open date was created on Nashville’s schedule. Athletic officials announced late last week that a 4th non-conference game has been added onto the schedule. Instead of playing the traditional three non-conference games and then getting an open date before conference play begins, the Scrappers have added Charleston to fill that open week prior to the start of conference play. The game will take place at Charleston, which is a 3A school. The final Friday of the regular season is the date where the Genoa Central game was to be played, so Nashville’s open date will now take place that week, just prior to the start of playoffs.
