Scrappers defeat Charleston; results from other 7-4A conference games

Friday night, the Nashville Scrappers defeated 3A Charleston 27-19 to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Senior quarterback Sloan Perrin had 138 yards on 25 carries and 2 touchdowns. He also threw for 1 touchdown. After Friday night’s game, Perrin said it was a team win.

The Scrappers had about 400 yards of total offense, and an interception sealed the win, but Nashville must clean up the penalties before this week’s matchup with the #1 ranked Arkadelphia Badgers.

In other 7-4A action, Malvern lost to Hernando, Mississippi 55-29. Ashdown defeated Idabel, Oklahoma 33-24. Mena stopped Pocola, Oklahoma on a last second 2-point conversion to win 35-34. And Mansfield defeated Waldron 33-7.
