Scrappers defeat Malvern 7-2

The Nashville Baseball Scrappers opened league play Tuesday afternoon with a 7 to 2 win over Malvern. The Scrappers scored all of their runs in the game’s first four innings. Ty Gordon led Nashville in hitting, with 3 hits on the afternoon. Aiden Smith, Landon Tollett, and Kason Willard had two hits apiece for Nashville. Scrapper pitcher Will Pope went the distance for the complete game victory, striking out 9 Leopard batters in the contest.
The Scrappers will play in a northeast Texas tournament later this week and return to conference play next Tuesday.
