Scrappers defeat Miners 3-2

Nashville defeated Bauxite Thursday evening a 3 to 2 district contest played in Saline County.  The Scrappers improved to 5 and 4 in league play and are currently in sole possession of third place.  Garrett Willard pitched over four innings of relief to draw the victory for the Scrappers.  He struck out six Bauxite hitters.  Willard and starting pitcher, Ethan Gunter, combined to allow just three hits on the afternoon.  At the plate, the Scrappers were led by Aiden Smith, who picked up a pair of hits.  Kaden Halter and Aiden Chapman also had one hit each for Nashville.  Chapman and Banks Ray were each credited with one run batted in. 

Nashville returns to district play Monday afternoon, with a home contest against against De Queen.
