Scrappers Prepare for Busy Weekend Slate

The Nashville Scrappers are preparing for a busy weekend of baseball as they take part in several matchups today and tomorrow.
Head coach Zach Stewart recently spoke with KMTB and KNAS about the upcoming games and the challenges the team will face.
Nashville is scheduled to play the Vilonia Eagles today at 5:30 p.m. in Prairie Grove. The Scrappers will then face the Gravette Lions at 8 p.m. later this evening, before returning to the field Saturday morning for a 9 a.m. game against the Smackover Buckaroos.
Stewart said the Vilonia team, which currently holds a 2–1 record, is a strong program, adding that Gravette is also known for fielding a competitive baseball team.
With the Scrappers scheduled to play early Saturday morning, Stewart also discussed how the team plans to prepare after Friday night’s games to ensure players are ready for the 9 a.m. matchup against Smackover.
Stewart noted that he has not yet had the opportunity to see Smackover play this season but said he has a plan in place to make sure the Scrappers have pitchers ready for both Friday and Saturday’s games.
