Scrappers Stay Undefeated; Scrapperettes Set for Tournament Play

Monday night, the Nashville Scrappers basketball team picked up a convincing win over Cutter Morning Star in a non-conference matchup.
The Scrappers jumped out to an early lead, outscoring Cutter Morning Star 23–13 in the first quarter and extending the advantage to 38–25 by halftime.
Nashville continued to dominate in the second half, leading 58–35 after the third quarter and cruising to a 74–46 final score.
With the win, the Scrappers remain undefeated at 8–0 on the season.
Leading scorers for Nashville included Demetrus Shelley with 22 points, Johnte Taylor with 19 points, and Bo Bell, who added 18 points.
Up next for the Scrappers is the Mineral Springs Tournament, set to take place December 29th through January 3rd. More details on the tournament will be available on the Southwest Arkansas Radio Facebook page.
In other sports news, the Nashville Scrapperettes will be competing in the Little Rock Christian Tournament this Saturday. The Scrapperettes are scheduled to take on the El Dorado Lady Wildcats, with tipoff set for 2:30 p.m.
