Sevier County married duo arrested after calling 911 on each other.

Alexander Rochelle, 29, and 25-year-old Hanna Rochelle were taken into custody by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office after dispatchers received a 911 call which included a report of gunshots outside the residents’ home. The arrest occurred following an incident on Dec. 15, 2023, at a residence on Indian Hills Road near Lockesburg.

According to the arrest affidavit, Hanna Rochelle initiated contact with Sevier County dispatchers that evening to claim the residence was under fire from unknown sources. Dispatchers stated another individual could be heard yelling and firing a firearm in the background.

When deputies arrived at the residence, both occupants were detained, and an investigation was then conducted in the surrounding area. Following their search, deputies stated they found no evidence of gunfire around the residence. However, they did observe multiple bullet holes in the cabin door which they suspected originated from inside the home.
The responding deputy stated in the arrest affidavit that authorities have responded to the Rochelle residence on five occasions for unnecessary 911 calls since Nov. 23 of last year.

The husband-and-wife duo were then transported to the Sevier County Jail. Alexander was charged with a felony count of communicating a false alarm. Hanna was charged with misdemeanor communicating a false alarm. Authorities upgraded Alexander’s offense to a felony after they said he threatened dispatchers while calling in his report.

Alexander recently appeared in the Sevier County Circuit court on earlier this week and was charged with a felony count of communicating a false alarm for the incident that took place on Dec. 15. Bond was set at $5,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 11.
