Shooting Sports Program at Rotary

Vicki Cook, coach of the Nashville Scrapper trap program talked to the Nashville Rotary club on Wednesday. Participating in the trap shooting program has continued to grow and about 50 members are expected this spring. The season is held from February to June and Cook says fundraising efforts are underway. Last year the program hosted a tournament at Grandview that helped to raise funds. The program is affiliated with the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports program and encourages students to be outdoors and teaches gun safety. The senior team finished in the top 8 last year and the junior team has won the state championship the past two years.
