South Pike County School Board Meets For January

Tuesday night, South Pike County School District Superintendent Brad Sullivan informed board members that a bat infestation was found in the fieldhouse when students returned from Christmas break. Sullivan said an animal control company was hired to resolve the problem and the bats have been removed.

Sullivan also updated the board on the district’s master plan which includes roofing projects on the Murfreesboro elementary and high school.

Sullivan also announced several students, teachers and administrators visited the Capitol in Little Rock on Tuesday and were recognized for being named an Apple Distinguished School. He said two students were invited to speak at an upcoming state board meeting to describe the app that they’ve developed to track student attendance.
