South Pike County School Board Meets For March Session

Tuesday night, members of the South Pike County Board of Education met and approved a three-year lease agreement for five buses from the American Bus Company at a cost of $11,750 a year per bus. The buses come with a three-year bumper to bumper warranty.

Superintendent Brad Sullivan reported the district has several facility needs.

Sullivan informed the board that he sent a letter to the patrons of the district concerning the Coronavirus.

The board also amended the 2019-2020 certified salary schedule and approved the 2020-2021 classified salary schedule which reflects the new minimum wage. The adjustment will cost the district an additional $49,843 in classified salaries next year.
