South Pike County School Board Names Jay Turley Head Football Coach and Athletic Director

On Monday evening, the South Pike County School Board held a special meeting and officially approved the hiring of Jay Turley as the new head football coach for the Murfreesboro High School Rattlers, as well as the district’s new Athletic Director.

We recently talked with Turley who shared his enthusiasm about returning to the district, emphasizing the importance of balancing academics with athletics, a principle that aligns with the district’s values.

In his closing remarks, Turley expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school board and district faculty for welcoming him back and giving him the chance to lead the Rattlers once again.
