South Pike County School District Moving Forward with Facility Projects
Tuesday night, the members of the South Pike County School Board approved the district’s funding for two facility projects.
Superintendent Brad Sullivan reported the district will receive state funding for the roofing project, but the district’s portion is $387,903.29. He said that money will come from the building fund.
The roofing project is scheduled to begin in September and be completed in October.
The drainage and band hall project will cost $169,000. Sullivan said funds from the district’s CD will be used to pay for this project…( sound bite).
Board members accepted the resignations of Linda Compton and teacher, Stephanie Cox; votes to hire Brittany Harris as an American History and EAST Lab teacher and appointed Tanya Wilcher as the district’s Point of Contact person.
