South Pike County School District passes 2022-2023 Legislative Audit
Thursday, Superintendent Tanya Wilcher of the South Pike County School District presented the Legislative Financial Audit report for the 2022-2023 school year during their regular monthly board meeting.
Wilcher stated that they got their eligibility back to be a provision 2 school for the 2024-2025 school year which means that the students will get to eat for free. She also informed the board that so far, they have six school choice forms turned in, two for the Murfreesboro High School and rest was for the Murfreesboro Elementary School. Wilcher also added that pre-registration for kindergarten went well, and this was the highest pre-register they ever had in a few years and so far, they counted 40.
Also, during the meeting, the board approved a motion to accept the bus lease from Midwest buses to release the five buses they have for $15,500 per year per bus for the next three years.
In conclusion, Wilcher announced that graduation will be on Thursday May 16th at 6:30pm and the next board meeting will be on May 20th at 6pm.
