South Pike County Schools Get State Partnership Money
Tuesday night, the South Pike County School District Board of Education was informed by superintendent Brad Sullivan that the district had been awarded state partnership money for the high school roof and elementary school roof projects. Sullivan said the district was awarded $736,000. He said the project will cost about $1.3 million.
Board members approved the district’s Apple Lease Refresh at a cost of $152,862 for three years and approved the district’s 2018-2019 audit report. Sullivan said there were only two supplemental findings that have been resolved.
The board also accepted the resignations of Charlotte Tipton who accepted a position with the Dierks school district and Allison Dye who accepted a position with the Broken Bow, Oklahoma schools.
Also accepted was the retirement of Carol Lingo who has worked in the district for the past 33 years.
Superintendent Sullivan also announced the Murfreesboro High School traditional graduation ceremony is scheduled for July 18th at 10:30 AM on the football field.
