South Pike School Board updated on current projects
Last week the South Pike County School District held their regular monthly meeting.
Superintendent Tanya Wilcher mentioned meeting with a civil engineer and she provided an update on the upcoming project which includes expanding the parking lot.
Wilcher stated that the lettering for the High School building has arrived but the lettering for the Elementary building is currently pending. Wilcher also discussed the completion of CSSO training that will provide safety to the schools.
Wilcher discussed the board members completing their training hours for the school year with the exception of Cory Ballard due to being just appointed to the board. Wilcher stated that she’s currently receiving different bids for the roofing project for the gym.
The board approved the purchase of a Toyota Sienna Minivan for $39,304 and to be paid with the Enhanced Transportation funds.
