South Pike Superintendent Highlights District Projects and Student Growth

Following the recent school board meeting, Tanya Wilcher spoke about ongoing projects and academic progress within the South Pike County School District.

Wilcher began by discussing a potential grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation and outlined her vision for how the project could benefit the district.

Turning to academics, Wilcher said that after hearing reports from building principals, student performance is trending in a positive direction. She highlighted the success of the district’s HIT tutoring program, noting that it has played a significant role in supporting student growth this school year.

In closing, Wilcher reminded the community that the next school board meeting will be held Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m.
