Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative scholarship application information

Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for area high school 2022 graduates.

The Don Stemple Scholarship is valued at $2,000.

To be considered as a scholarship candidate the student’s parent or grandparent must be a cooperative member and applicants will be asked to submit a 1,000-word essay.

In addition, the following information should accompany the completed application:

• Your most recent academic transcript

• A 1,000-word essay on the topic, “Discuss the Relationship Between Electricity and Agriculture in the United States”

• A copy of your college entrance exam scores (ACT and/or SAT)

• Two letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or employer

• Documented high school and/or community activities and school and/or community honors

The application and information must be received by August 12.
