SPCSD Board approved proposed budget for 2025-2026
Building Principals of the South Pike County School District reported to the public during the South Pike County School District’s regular monthly board meeting Monday night.
Murfreesboro High School Principal David Jones stated that they are going back to having a Study Hall block which would be 30 minutes and will allow students more time to study.
Murfreesboro Elementary Principal James Riley reported to the public that they started a program called What it means to be a real Rattler. This program consists of recognizing students who demonstrate positive characteristics, bi-weekly meetings with grade levels, First Christian Church Book Donations, along with a point system. Riley stated that during the Fun Run event, $11,000 dollars was raised, and they will be able to keep 70% of the funds.
In conclusion, the board approved a motion to approve the proposed budget of expenditures with Tax Levy for Fiscal Year 2025-2025. The board also approved another motion to schedule the next board meeting on November 16th. All were in favor of the motion.
