SPCSD to interview superintendent candidates Thursday in special called meeting

The members of the South Pike school board voted to accept the proposed school calendar. Superintendent Brad Sullivan informed the board that the proposed calendar was basically the same has this year’ s calendar with a start date of August 22 and a last day of June 2.

Board members voted to rehire high school principal Davey Jones, elementary principal Arlene Fuggit and director of programs Tanya Wilcher.

Sullivan said it was important to have strong leaders in the district.

The board met in a special session on January 31 and selected five candidates that they wanted to interview for the open superintendent position. Sullivan announced his retirement during the regular January board meeting.

Sullivan said the board will meet in a special called meeting Thursday, February 10 to interview the five candidates.
