Speeding Enforcement Operation Underway

Law enforcement officers across Arkansas are conducting a concerted speed enforcement plan this week called “Obey the Sign or Pay the Fine”.

The intensified speeding enforcement plan will be in operation through Sunday and is part of a month long regional initiative involving Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.

Traffic fatalities are on the rise in Arkansas this year. State police say 84 people have died this year in speed related crashes. That figure represents a 33% increase compared to the same time last year.
