State Legislature off for MLK holiday, reconvene on Tuesday
The 93rd General Assembly is taking today off for the Martin Luther King, Jr.holiday observance. When the session reconvenes tomorrow, lawmakers will begin the process of working on some of the proposals Governor Asa Hutchinson is outlining for this session. At the top of the governor’s wishes, are a couple of tax reductions:
Among other proposals outline by the governor is increasing teacher salaries by two thousand dollars over the next two years, improved training for law enforcement and accountability for officers, and requiring students to take a computer science course before graduating.
