Superintendent of the Nashville School District Announes Teacher of the Year
Monday, the Nashville School Board held their regular monthly meeting.
During the meeting Superintendent Doug Graham took a moment to announce the Nashville School District Teacher of the Year, Nashville High School Teacher Carolanne Pinegar.
Pinegar stated that this is a huge part of her family and she talked about how Nashville is a great place to teach.
Graham talked about the expenses for the month. Currently the district is 84% through the projected budget and they have a balance of $6,283,891 dollars. A motion was made by Board Members Jamar Finley and seconded by Jerry Wilson to pay the district’s bill. All were in favor of the motion. The board also approved a motion to consider a $1.00 per hour raise for classified staff.
Board Members also approved a motion to consider a resolution to name a DMEC Board Member. This resolution requires the Nashville Board of Directors to appoint an individual to serve as a representative for the Board of Directors on the DeQueen Education Service Cooperative Board of Directors. All were in favor of the motion.
