Suspects of Glenwood arrested for breaking and entering
On May 9th, Deputy Chris Gates was dispatched to Glenwood for a burglary in progress and was informed that the suspect’s vehicle was stuck in the yard. According to the affidavit, Deputy Gates made contact with the homeowner Mary Tidwell and said that three people were at her house stealing items from her shed. Tidwell stated that the vehicle was stuck in her yard, but the suspects were gone. Gates then conducted a license plate check and the vehicle returned to 50-year-old Tammy Hall of Glenwood.
It was reported that Deputy Gates located Hall later that evening to explain to her what was going on and to ask her questions pertaining to the burglary. According to the affidavit, Hall admitted to driving the vehicle and that the other parties were 25 year old Brandon Cogburn of Glenwood and a female juvenile. Hall stated that Cogburn and the juvenile asked if she could give them a ride to the residence to pick up items for scrap. Hall reportedly told officers that she asked Cogburn if they had permission to go to the residence to pick up the items and Cogburn told her yes. Hall said as they were there loading the truck with the items, Tidwell, the homeowner, told them they had no business on the property and due to the vehicle being stuck, they all managed to find a ride before the sheriffs arrived on the scene. But after Investigator Jason McDonald received Tidwell’s side of the story on May 12th, Tidwell reportedly informed the officers that she wanted to pursue charges on the three suspects.
Hall and Cogburn were arrested and charged with breaking or entering and theft of property. Tidwell was able to recover most of the items from her residence.
