SWEPCO Customers Rates Increase

SWEPCO customers in the Nashville area will be paying more for their electrical service as of today.  The Arkansas Public Service Commission has approved new base rates for the electric company that will result in an increase of nearly 24 million dollars annually in non-fuel base rates.

The increase will mean residential customers using one thousand kilowatt-hours per month will see an overall bill increase of about 8 dollars 43 cents each month which represents an 8.7 percent increase.
