Texarkana Man Formally Charged in Multi-County Dollar General Burglary Spree

Formal charges were filed Tuesday against a Texarkana, Texas man accused of participating in a string of Dollar General burglaries across southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas.
According to an affidavit filed by Clark County Sheriff’s Investigator Rick Loy, 26-year-old Xavier Marcel Aldridge has been charged with Commercial Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief—all felonies—in connection with the August 18 burglary of the Dollar General store in Gurdon.
Investigators say Aldridge is believed to be one of three suspects tied to multiple DG burglaries in Gurdon, Hope, Mineral Springs, Prescott, and Texarkana. Law enforcement agencies across several jurisdictions have been working together to identify and track those involved.
During one of the Texarkana break-ins, police were able to obtain a license plate number linked to the suspect vehicle. Using GPS data, officers monitored the car over the following days and reportedly placed it at the scene of another Dollar General burglary in Texas. A subsequent traffic stop led to the detainment of Aldridge and another suspect, Jucquian Tyson, though no formal charges have yet been filed against Tyson.
Investigators also reported that data from Aldridge’s cell phone placed him in the vicinity of the various burglaries during the timeframe in question.
Video footage from multiple stores shows three suspects involved in the break-ins. The identity of the third suspect has not yet been publicly released as the investigation continues.
Authorities say additional charges could be forthcoming as the multi-agency case develops.
