Thursday Morning Area COVID Numbers

The Arkansas Department of Health is reporting Howard County’s active count of COVID-19 cases has increased to 31. The latest figures show there has been a total of 94 cases. 62 people are listed as recovered. There has been one COVID-19 related death in the county and more than 1,220 people have tested negative for the virus.

Sevier County continues to lead southwest Arkansas in the active case numbers with 134.

Active case totals for other neighboring counties show Hempstead County with six, Polk County has a dozen active cases currently while both Pike and Little River counties are now reporting no active COVID-19 cases according to the health department.
