Time Capsule discovered in Howard County

Tuesday, Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton along with workers of the Highway Department found the time capsule that former Howard County Judge Ed Reese buried in the ground on the Howard County Courthouse lawn 50 years ago.  It’s been told the capsule contains a long scroll bearing the signatures of every member of the spectacle cast, “How Howard Happened”. 

Judge Pinkerton stated that in honor of Howard County’s Sesquicentennial Birthday, which was celebrated on April 17th, 2023, they started the hunt on finding this time capsule. Pinkerton also shared some history behind the time capsule and when he plans on having a ceremony that will be opened to the public.
