Tollette Mayor Highlights Community Pride Ahead of Homecoming Celebration

As the City of Tollette prepares for its Homecoming celebration, set for Aug. 12-15, Mayor Brenda Porter is encouraging former residents and visitors to return home and celebrate the community’s rich heritage.

Porter said the event, which is held every two years, is an opportunity to recognize the many people with Tollette roots who have gone on to successful careers and accomplishments while maintaining ties to their hometown.

With the parade expected to draw large crowds, Porter said traffic signs will be posted throughout the area to help motorists navigate safely during the festivities.

She added that participants in Saturday’s parade will also see designated signs to help direct them to the appropriate staging areas.

Porter said she hopes this year’s Homecoming celebration brings the community together and leaves a lasting, positive impact on everyone who attends.

For anyone with questions about the Homecoming festivities, Porter encouraged residents and visitors to reach out using the contact information provided by the city.
