Traffic stop results in possession of firearm charge
A traffic stop this week by Nashville police has resulted in felony charges against an Ashdown resident. 22 year old Darius Jamaine Young was stopped Tuesday for speeding by Police Lt. Clinton Tedford. During the stop, Lt. Tedford located suspected marijuana, along with a pistol, inside the vehicle. During the investigation, police learned that Young had a felony criminal history. He was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail, on a felony charge of Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons and a misdemeanor count of possessing marijuana.
