Trial Date set in Hornbeck case
A former Murfreesboro coach is set for trial next February on sexual assault charges. 37 year old Charles Hornbeck, who now lives at Springdale, appeared in Pike County Circuit Court yesterday and received a February 25th trial date, with pre-trial activities scheduled for February 1st. Hornbeck is charged with five felony counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault and one count of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault.
40 year old Robert Shane Hill of Hot Springs was given a three year prison sentence Monday in Pike County on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. Hill will be given credit for jail time served and ordered to pay costs. His sentence would run concurrent with a suspended sentence revocation in Howard County.
A mental evaluation has been ordered for 47 year old Keith Bodiford of Batesville. He’s charged in Pike County Aggravated Assault for allegedly attempting to remove a confederate flag from the front porch of a Glenwood residence, which authorities say led to a confrontation with the property owner and Bodiford pointing a gun at the homeowner.
