Two People Arrested In Hempstead County On Drug Charges

Two area men have been arrested on drug charges during an operation conducted by the 8th North Judicial District Task Force and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department.

44 year old Eric Goss of Nashville and 62 year old Donald Wynn of Ozan were taken into custody after authorities said they recovered drug related items.   At the time of their arrest, Goss and Wynn were together in a pickup belonging to Goss.

Agents said they located two baggies of suspected methamphetamine, a baggie of marijuana and several pills inside of a baggie on Wynn’s person.

Agents reportedly found drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine as well as a handgun in the vehicle which belonged to Goss. During the investigation, it was determined that Wynn attempted to
discard another baggie of suspected methamphetamine while the agents were conducting their investigation.

Wynn was charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Goss was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Both were transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center and are awaiting a first court appearance.

Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton says Wynn is a parolee under active supervision
