Tyson Foods Donates $43,114 to Harvest Regional Food Bank to Support Hunger Relief Efforts in Southwest Arkansas

Tyson Foods continues to make a significant impact in the fight against hunger in southwest Arkansas with a generous donation to Harvest Regional Food Bank. This year, Tyson Foods, in partnership with Feeding America, has awarded Harvest Regional Food Bank a grant of $43,114 to support its Hunger Relief efforts, specifically in Howard, Pike, and Sevier Counties.

Since 2000, Tyson Foods has been a steadfast supporter of Harvest Regional Food Bank, donating over $200,000 and more than one million pounds of food to help those in need. This year’s grant will help fund the food bank’s mobile pantries, as well as Tyson’s onsite pantries that provide food assistance to their employees, according to Camille Coker Wrinkle, CEO of Harvest Regional Food Bank.

Wrinkle added that they are thrilled for our partnership with Tyson and appreciate their financial support and years of food donations to fight hunger right here in their region.

Tem Gunter, Tyson’s Area Manager stated at Tyson Foods, they are committed to driving out food insecurity by ensuring families have access to nutritious meals. Through their longstanding partnership with Harvest Regional Food Bank, they continue working to eliminate hunger—one meal, one community at a time.

With this grant, Harvest Regional Food Bank is able to continue its critical work in providing food and resources to individuals and families in need across southwest Arkansas, reinforcing the importance of community partnerships in the battle against hunger.
