UA Cossatot, UAM to Announce New Bachelor’s Degree Partnership

Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Monticello will announce a new partnership this week designed to expand access to affordable bachelor’s degree opportunities for students in southwest Arkansas.

The two institutions will officially unveil the collaboration during a signing ceremony this week. UA Cossatot Chancellor Dr. Steve Cole recently spoke with Southwest Arkansas Radio about the upcoming announcement.

Dr. Cole said the partnership represents a significant step forward for higher education in the region, giving students more opportunities to earn a four-year degree close to home.

Cole also highlighted scholarship opportunities available through UAM that can help make earning a bachelor’s degree even more affordable for students.

He added that both institutions offer strong academic programs and believes the partnership will benefit students and the region for years to come.

College leaders are expected to provide additional details during this week’s announcement.
