Umpire Volunteer Fire Department awarded $75,000 grant

Recently the Umpire Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a grant in the amount of $75,000 dollars, which will be used to purchase a tanker truck. This was given by the Rural Service Block Grant Program Division of Rural Services. According to the Facebook post made by Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc the organization stated that they are pleased to support communities in obtaining funds to support the safety of their district. SAPDD also took a moment to congratulate Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton and the Umpire Volunteer Fire Department.
