Vehicle spotted in the water at Millwood Dam

Area residents reported seeing a vehicle in the water below the Millwood Dam on the Little River this past Tuesday night.

Members of the Little River County Sheriff’s Office, the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department and Pafford Medical Services responded to the scene.

No one was injured but a Little River County deputy pulled an individual from the vehicle. Witnesses said the water was not deep enough to submerge the vehicle.

According to affidavit, the driver simply drove off the boat ramp at River Run West.
