Ward arrested on outstanding warrant and charged with additional charges
On October 16th, Nashville Patrol Officer Dustin Wakefield conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 tan Chevrolet truck.
Officer Wakefield reportedly approached the vehicle and identified the passenger as 33 year old Chasity D Ward of Nashville, who had warrants for her arrest.
Wakefield reported that after he placed Ward in handcuffs, Wakefield noticed a portion of gray plastic hanging from Ward’s right-side pocket that contained a green vegetable substance believed to be marijuana.
Ward was transferred to the Howard County Detention Facility. It was reported that after the jailers were able to complete a search, they confiscated a glass smoke pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue in it, a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, and one syringe was confiscated.
Ward was charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Furnishing Prohibited Articles, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Schedule VI Substance Marijuana.
