Warrant executed; arrest made in Mineral Springs

On Monday, December 5th, agents with the 9th West Judicial Drug Task Force, Howard County Sheriff Office, and the Mineral Springs Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence at the 200 block of West Springs Street in Mineral Springs. 

It’s been reported that officers seized over 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, several small individually packed baggies of suspected marijuana, and a handgun. 

The suspect was identified as 39 year old Donnie Bearden of Mineral Springs.

Bearden was transported to the Howard County Jail where he is currently being held on a $10,000 bond. Bearden was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
