Warriors Blast Past Blevin

It was a great night of basketball for the Lady Warriors and Warriors in the season’s last home game. The Warriors blasted past Blevins 79-41. The entire bench was able to get floor time and Ethan Gallagher played his last home game for the Warriors. Gallagher led the team with a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds. 28 of those points came in the first half. He also led with assists facilitating buckets for teammates throughout the night. Gallagher broke another record tonight by reaching over 1,000 points for this season alone. Going into tournament play, he has scored 1008 points this season.


Layne Schroer also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Eli Mitchell contributed 10 points and 6 boards. Everrette Martz offered the team 7 points, followed by 6 from Ozzy Toledano and 5 from Manolo Vazquez. Scoring was rounded out by Corban Wilson and Joshua Tucker with 3 and 2 points respectively.
The Lady Warriors kept fans on the edge of their seat all night in a tightly contested game with Blevins. #10 Oaklee Lofton led with 20 points, followed by 13 from senior #14 Dori Bartek, in her final home game as a Lady Warrior. #35 Mercy Hagler had a double-double tonight with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Lilly Tucker and Libby Bartek gave 3 and 1 points each. The Legacy ladies fell short in the end losing 52-48.
Both teams begin HCAA regional tournament play this Thursday where the girls will meet CMA of Hot Springs on the court, while the boys play Gospel Light in the first round.
