The U.S. Congress approved the National Defense Authorization Act last week. 4th District Congressman Bruce Westerman said the bill will now go President Trump, who has indicated he will veto the measure. Westerman said he would not vote to override the president’s veto, because there are a few things in the bill he thinks need to be changed:
Westerman is not able to currently be in Washington, because he had a staff member late last week to test positive for COVID-19. House rules say he must work remotely for the time being.
