Work continues on Howard Street bridge in Nashville

Work continues on the Howard Street bridge in Nashville. Public Works Director Larry Dunaway updated council members on the project at yesterday’s regular March council meeting:

The city is hoping to have the bridge reopened by the end of April to connect the Sandhill and bypass area to Main Street.

Prior to yesterday’s meeting, Mayor Billy Ray Jones presented a plaque of appreciation to former council member Jimmie Lou Kirkpatrick. She recently resigned her position, due to moving from Nashville. Kirkpatrick served on the local council 14 years.
