Yearly Rainfall Above Normal

Last week’s rainfall in the city of Nashville assured this month will finish above normal in rainfall, the seventh time in eight months that has happened locally so far in 2020. More than 7 and 6 tenths inches of rain has been measured through the first half of August and that’s the highest total ever, to this point in the month.
So far this year, Nashville has measured nearly 56 inches of rain…meaning that in just seven a half months, we have received more rain that we normally get in the entire 12 months of the calendar year. Without another drop of rain in the next 4 and a half months of 2020, Nashville would be about two inches of rain above normal for the year.
