Rotary Club – 4H

Rotary met Wednesday with representatives from Howard County’s 4-H presenting. Samantha Horn, head of the 4-H program, began by introducing Adiline Westfall, Anna Kate McKinnon, and Sarah Lamb. All 3 of which are active participants in the 4-H program and spoke to how the club has grown them throughout the years.

When COVID hit Westfall said she became concerned for what 4-H would look like moving forward. However, through virtual conferences and meetings they were still able to connect and learn often with people they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.

Recently the Howard County 4-H participated in a cooking competition known as the Arkansas 4-H Food Challenge and brought home 1st place. In the coming weeks they will be traveling to Fort Worth, TX to represent both Arkansas and Howard County on the national level for this competition.
