Senior Scrappers beat Waldron Bulldogs on Homecoming Night

The Nashville Scrappers defeated the Waldron Bulldogs 55 to 6 for Homecoming.

The Scrappers intercepted the first Waldron pass of the game and returned it for a touchdown. Tre Hopkins scored less than two minutes later to put the Scrappers up 14 to nothing.

Hopkins would score again in the first quarter with 3:37 to play in the first quarter to put the Scrappers up 21 to nothing. Here’s the call from Bunch Nichols.

Less than two minutes later Karson Chambers would connect with Kason Morgan for a touchdown, giving the Scrappers a 28 to nothing lead.

Early in the second quarter, Hopkins would strike again and the Scrappers led 35 to nothing.

Hopkins had six carries for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In the second quarter, Hayden Gray would score his first touchdown of the season and Kaleb Halter scored his first rushing touchdown of the season early in the third quarter.

Carmello Jones intercepted a Bulldog pass in the fourth quarter and Dixon Tucker would score the final touchdown of the night for the Scrappers giving them a 55 to 6 win.

Nashville had 10 first downs, 312 yards rushing and 38 yards passing for a total of 350 yards.

The Scrappers will travel to Malvern Friday night to take on the defending 4A state champions.
