Nashville Scrapperettes Runner-up in the Girls 4A State Championship

The Nashville Scrapperettes ended their season yesterday as the State runner-up in the Girls 4A State Championship in Hot Springs.

The Scrapperettes scored 14 points in the first quarter and 13 in the second and ended with a total of 27 points in the first half while trailing the Farmington Cardinals by 10 points. Although they were behind almost 20 points in the 3rd quarter, the Scrapperettes made a comeback and scored 19 points and trailed 8 points behind the Cardinals 46 to 54. Scrapperettes outscored the Cardinals in the 4th quarter but fell short with the final score 65 to 61.

Nashville Scrapperette Head Coach Paul Dean said quote to the team “It could have gone bad tonight but I’m proud of you. There are 46 other teams that would have traded with you all just to be in the finals, so don’t hold your head down, you had a chance.”  

Dean even expressed how responsible the team was and how he enjoyed coaching them.
