4 area residents sentenced to ADC in Howard County Circuit Court

A De Queen resident was one of four people sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Corrections yesterday in Howard County Circuit Court. 20 year old Michael Sterling was sentenced to five years in prison on charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault for an incident that reportedly happened in 2019.
31 year old DeShaun Bishop of Hope received a pair of five year sentences yesterday on charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons. He was also given a 5 year suspended on the assault charge.
19 year old Drevian Batts of Nashville was sentenced to four years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, with an additional four years suspended. Batts was charged this year with Delivery of A Controlled Substance, and with the alleged activity happening within one thousand feet of a school.
Also sentenced Wednesday was 34 year old Larry Roberts of Nashville. Roberts was given a one year prison sentence, with 2 years suspended. He was charged with 3rd degree Domestic Battery.
